The Coffin Jump by Katrina Palmer

This book was published to conicide with the artist’s installation, The Coffin Jump in the landscape at Yorkshire Sculpture Park. Co-commissioned by 14-18 NOW, the artwork takes its inspiration from the work of the First Aid Nursing Yeomanry (FANY), a group of all-female volunteers active in nursing and intelligence work during the World Wars. The publication features a foreword by Philippa Lorimer with further texts by Tamsin Dillon, Lisa Le Feuvre, Helen Pheby PhD and Rachel Massey. It also features many installation shots of this work, an intervention within the landscape, comprising an inscribed fence above a trench.
